Zack Meadows and Stacy Story took ownership in 2013. They brought with them the boots-on-the-ground experience of seasoned adjusters, the industry knowledge of proven managers and leaders, and the burning desire to build the most efficient, effective, and independent adjusting firm in the industry.

Prior to his entry into the insurance claims industry in 1994, Stacy owned and operated a family restoration construction company.
Stacy’s range of claims experience includes, but is not limited to farm and ranch, large commercial loss, flood, fire, condominium, and residential. With 24 years of experience in the industry as a manager and executive, Stacy’s experience and knowledge of claims, personnel, and storm management is second to none and indispensable to MACS success.

VICE PRESIDENT OF COMMUNICATIONS & DEVELOPMENT
Gene is the Vice President of Communications & Development and President of Adjust U, a full-service adjuster training school. He has been in leadership and communication roles for 35 years. Gene is a dynamic communicator with a proven track record of visionary leadership.
Gene entered the insurance claims industry as an independent adjuster when Hurricane Katrina pummeled the Gulf Coast in 2005. He has participated in every major catastrophic event since: first as an adjuster, then as a team lead, account manager, storm manager, and now as a company executive.
Gene was with owners Zack Meadows and Stacy Story when they assumed ownership of Mid-America in 2013. He helped cast the vision for the company, assisted with branding, and organized for growth.
Gene brings a unique background and style to his roles and has helped to shape the personality, product, and priorities of Mid-America and Adjust U.
Gene has held as many as 29 state adjuster licenses, NFIP certifications, and the California Earthquake certification. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA.
VICE PRESIDENT, OPERATIONS & DIRECTOR, INSIDE CLAIM OPERATIONS
Mark Glass became a part of the Mid-America team in 2013, showcasing a remarkable 35-year history of professional leadership, team development, strategic acumen, and consistent career achievements. Alongside his background in the food and beverage industry and real estate development within his family’s retirement centers, Mark has valuable experience in Emergency Management. His roles as a software consultant and data manager in a prominent firm in that sector attest to his diverse skill set.
Mark, known for his meticulous attention to detail, empathetic leadership approach, and a flair for innovative and intuitive management, contributes significantly to Mid-America. His extensive career includes positions as a field adjuster, file examiner, team lead, and account manager. Notably, during Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, Mark effectively oversaw on-site operations for a key client, leading a team of over 150 licensed desk adjusters who successfully settled thousands of claims for four insurance carriers.
Currently serving as the VP of Operations & Director of Inside Claims Operations, Mark provides dynamic leadership for the desk adjuster team, both at the Mobile facility and clients’ locations. His responsibilities span all aspects of the operation, encompassing best practices, company culture, client services, adjuster services, internal and external communications, personnel management, and production oversight.
VICE PRESIDENT OF ADMIN SERVICES AND ACCOUNTING
Kim has been intricately involved in the evolution of Mid-America since its ownership change in 2013. She has more than 25 years of experience in the independent adjusting and claims-handling industry. She brings outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills to her role as Director of Administrative Services and Accounting.
VICE PRESIDENT OF TRAINING
Jonathan is the Director of Training and Development at Mid-America Catastrophe Services. He is an experienced and engaging trainer with 15 years of experience in the insurance industry. Jonathan has extensive management experience, practical field claim handling, and in-office claim operations.Jonathan began his career in 2006 and has participated in every major catastrophe event since while working throughout the United States and Canada. He is a nationally recognized educator and trainer, lending his extensive knowledge to develop our current adjuster workforce while developing our future adjusters and leaders. Jonathan’s expertise includes Xactimate, XactAnalysis, Symbility, policy & compliance, as well as insurance courses and certifications.Jonathan is responsible for Mid-America’s training and development program, including Adjust U, training initiatives, Xactimate courses, orientations, certifications, Symbility training, and course development. He is responsible for the curriculum of Mid-America’s Adjust U and certification of all coursework.Jonathan is a graduate of the University of South Alabama and a Navy veteran. He is a Xactimate Certified Trainer.
DIRECTOR OF COMPLIANCE & RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
Trey is the Director of Compliance & Resource Management with Mid-America Catastrophe Services. Trey has been at the helm of Deployment and Adjuster Services since 2013. His department has provided personnel for outside and inside catastrophe claim deployment teams. Additionally, he has built a network of daily claim professionals – including field and desk adjusters, examiners, and file reviewers – in all 50 states. Trey over 20 years in the property insurance claims industry.
Trey earned his BS degree from Indiana Wesleyan University and is a native of Mobile, Alabama where he lives with his wife Dianne and their three daughters.
DIRECTOR OF CAT AND FIELD OPERATIONS
Keith Craft is the CAT and Field Operations Director for Mid-America Catastrophe Services. Keith has over 27 years of experience in the property and casualty claim industry.
Keith began his career with Hurricane Andrew in 1992. Over the past 27 years, Keith has participated in every major catastrophic event while working throughout the United States and Canada. Keith is a leader recognized for his extensive knowledge and professionalism. His experience and leadership have propelled him through industry ranks, advancing from adjuster to trainer, technical advisor, account manager, CAT manager, and catastrophe coordinator.
Keith is responsible for the oversight of adjusters in our daily and catastrophe claim operations. Keith is viewed by his peers as the go-to source for operational knowledge and expertise.
Keith has held 30 State Adjuster Licenses, the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) Certification and the California Earthquake Authority (CEA) Certification, as well as numerous insurance company certifications.
CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER
Russell is an accomplished IT executive with more than 35 years of experience in information technology and information security. He currently serves as Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for Mid-America, where he is responsible for overseeing the company’s technology infrastructure, security operations, and strategic IT initiatives.
Throughout his career, Russell has held a variety of leadership roles, including Senior Network Engineer, IT Manager, IT Director, Datacenter Manager, and Vice President/CIO of a large software company. His extensive background spans across network design, performance tuning, staff management and training, and operational procedures, making him a recognized subject matter expert in IT and information security best practices.
Russell’s expertise includes audit compliance management, threat and vulnerability management, corporate security planning, and security/privacy requirements analysis. He has a strong track record in project management, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning, having built and operated large-scale, complex networks and datacenters. His leadership in these areas has helped organizations mitigate risks, improve performance, and achieve strategic business objectives.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Russell has served on the City of Mobile’s Information Technology Task Force, playing a key role in helping the city achieve and maintain a standard of excellence in Information Technology.
Russell holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology from Southeast College.
Russell’s comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in IT management and security continue to drive innovation and operational efficiency at Mid-America.
HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
Terrie Joyner joined Mid-America as Human Resources Manager with over twenty years of experience in Human Resources, Payroll & Accounting, and Office Management. She is very dedicated to her work with a willingness to help others. Her responsibility focuses on benefits administration, employee relations, and strategically supporting Mid-America in any way possible. She also served as a Client Relationship Manager in the 401k industry for over 10 years supporting financial advisors, plan sponsors, employers, and employees.
Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, the outdoors, and Alabama football.
ACCOUNT MANAGER
Scott Curenton is an Account Manager with Mid-America Catastrophe Services. Scott has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry.
Scott Curenton is a product of the insurance claim industry following in the steps of his father who dedicated 35 years to claims. Scott is a graduate of Troy State University who worked in distribution and inventory control in the sports apparel industry before pursuing a claim career in 1996. Scott experience includes spending the first 10 years in the auto claim operations segment handling attorney represented claims, litigated claims, and managing liability claim adjusters before finding his true passion for property claims in 2005. Scott has worked as a field adjuster, inside claim adjuster, file reviewer, SIU, claim manager, trainer, and quality control manager before joining Mid-America.
Scott is a graduate of Troy University with a BS in Business Management. He holds an Associates in Claims (AIC) designation and is licensed in over 21 states, including NY adjuster license.

QA FILE REVIEW MANAGER
Chris Burch has been in the Catastrophe Claims field since 2010. He is a graduate of the University of South Alabama with a B.S. Degree in Accounting. After graduating, he remained in the sales and management field before transitioning to the insurance industry. He worked as an Inside claims adjuster, file reviewer, Customer Experience Team Manager, Claims Manager, Trainer and Quality Control Manager as well as interim Segment Manager before joining Mid-America.

SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER
Paul manages one of our key accounts. He has more than 15 years of experience in the insurance industry and has worked in multiple positions throughout his career. Paul started as a staff adjuster with Farmers insurance in 2002. In 2004 Paul left the staff position to become an independent adjuster where he worked multiple storms including the four hurricanes that struck Florida in 2004, mudslides in California, and Hurricane Katrina in 2005. In 2007, Paul again changed career paths and joined Foremost Insurance as a staff adjuster. Paul remained with Foremost, which was purchased by Farmers, through 2016 where he worked as a large loss property adjuster.
Paul joined the Mid-America team in 2016. As account manager for a large client with a national footprint, he oversees all aspects of the claim-handling process. Paul holds the General Adjuster Certification (CGA).
ACCOUNT MANAGER
Matt is an Account Manager for Mid-America Catastrophe Services. He has experience handling daily, commercial, and catastrophe claims. His experience includes catastrophe claim operations for Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, Florence, Michael and Dorian.
Matt’s co-manages several client accounts. He works with our field adjusters and clients daily to ensure quality control, production, cycle times and service level objectives are maintained to the highest standards. In addition, Matt has responsibility for field assistance with our adjusters.
Matt is a graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the University of Alabama – Tuscaloosa. National Honor Society member from 2012-2013 at the University of South Alabama. Founding Father of Zeta Eta Chapter of Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity at the University. Served as Treasurer of the chapter from 2015-2016.
ACCOUNT MANAGER
Mattia is an Account Manager for Mid-America Catastrophe Services. Mattia is experienced in claim handling, management and oversight of daily and catastrophe claim operations, to include residential field claims, commercial field claims, and in-office claim operations. Mattia’s catastrophe claim experience includes working as a field adjuster during Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, Florence, and Michael, and management responsibilities during Hurricane Dorian.
Mattia’s responsibilities include client relations and client integration. Mattia works directly with field adjusters, clients, and insureds daily to maintain excellent cycle times while guaranteeing that our work quality remains at the highest level. He provides guidance and assistance to our field adjusters throughout all 50 states. He is currently licensed in multiple states, including his home state of Alabama, as well as Florida, Texas, and New York.
Mattia graduated from American University in Washington, D.C. with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Anthropology. He studied abroad in Kenya, and following graduation worked abroad in northwest Kenya and in Beijing, China before starting a career in insurance.
DEPLOYMENT MANAGER
Nicole has been with Mid-America since 2019. She began as an understudy to longtime Deployment Manager Trey Loftin but quickly proved her mettle. Her skillset and commitment to growth in the department freed Trey to expand his reach in the company as Nicole took over more of the daily dispatch and storm deployment duties.
Today, Nicole runs the dispatch and deployment departments and continues to build vital bridges between Mid-America management and field adjusters. If you are an adjuster and you do not know Nicole, get to know her. She could be your best friend.
ACCOUNTING MANAGER
Bobbie Jo is the accounting manager and payroll supervisor for Mid-America Catastrophe Services. She has been with Mid-America since March 2016. An experienced and gifted accounting and payroll manager, Bobbie Jo is a critical member of the team. Her role includes training, accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll-along with management of small groups of employees.
Bobbie Jo holds an associate degree in Business Management (Faulkner University-2008) and a bachelor’s degree in Finance (University of South Alabama-2011). She is also a notary public for the state of Alabama.
CAT FILE REVIEW MANAGER
Julie is the Quality Assurance Manager of Mid-America Catastrophe Services. She provides support to our team of file/QC reviewers. Her duties include onboarding and training the reviewers on carrier-specific requirements, policy application, estimating guidelines, and coverage issues. The goal is to provide a thorough and timely investigation of the claim and a final product for the carrier that is complete, accurate, and formatted to carrier specifications.
Julie has over twenty years of experience in the Property & Casualty claim industry. Her background includes field claim adjusting, desk examiner assignments, and adjuster training and management during catastrophic events nationwide. She brings an extensive knowledge of claims handling procedures, including customer service, proper documentation, estimatics, interpretation, and proper application of policy provisions with respect to reported losses.
Julie holds degrees in Mathematics and Civil Engineering and is currently licensed as an adjuster in her home state of Alabama and a Florida, as well.
ANALYTICS MANAGER
Ryan is Analytics Manager for Mid-America. Coming onboard in 2020, he provides valuable insights to the team’s day-to-day operations. Ryan specializes in presenting data in a digestible manner and using his quantitative skills to eliminate bias in decision making. Ryan works with our operations teams to ensure the data he collects informs process improvement, training opportunities, and strategies to enhance quality and productivity.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Ryan provides in-house training to office staff.
Ryan studied mathematics and statistics at the University of Alabama where he attended too many sporting events. He came to Mid-America with eight years of experience in small business. His teambuilding and management skills complement his unique problem-solving acumen.

Courtney Belletty is our Inside Deployment Manager at Mid-America Catastrophe Services. Courtney is a talented and experienced recruiter in our workforce development and deployment department. She works tirelessly recruiting experienced, licensed adjusters to fulfill Mid-America’s promise to provide the best adjusters deployed for our clients.
Courtney began her career at Mid-America in 2017 and continues to impress our clients and adjusters with her enthusiasm and dedication to both.
Courtney attended the University of South Alabama majoring in criminal justice. She is also a graduate of Blue Cliff Career College, School of Cosmetology. She is active in her community and volunteers assisting the homeless.
CALL CENTER MANAGER
Bryan Gregory is the Call Center Manager at Mid-America Catastrophe Services. Bryan is a talented and knowledgeable manager bringing more than 30 years of experience to the table. He is responsible for the management and motivation of our call center agents. His functions include auditing, coaching and feedback, issue resolution, center statistics, and client satisfaction. His team uses an industry-leading cloud contact software package that includes a robust data delivery package.
